Day #1 - Saturday
8:00am - 9:00am : Lecture: Recognition and Treatment Planning of Traumatic Maxillofacial Injuries in Cats
9:00am - 12:00pm: Lab: Participants will have the opportunity to repair a wide variety of maxillofacial traumatic injuries in cats utilizing fixation techniques including:
Repair of caudal mandibular fractures with interosseous wires, maxillary fracture repair using figure-of-eight wires, creation of interdental composite splints,
treatment of temporomandibular joint luxations and fractures of the ramus of the mandible
1:00pm - 2:00pm: Lecture: Recognition and Treatment Planning of Traumatic Maxillofacial Injuries in Dogs
2:00:pm - 5:00pm: Lab: Participants will have the opportunity to repair a wide variety of traumatic injuries in dogs including:
Utilizing interosseous wires and interdental splints to repair various maxillofacial fractures, working with bone grafts, using free-dried bone to help improve bone healing
Day #2 - Sunday
8:00am - 9:00am: Lecture: Recognition and Treatment Planning of Malignant Oral Tumors in Dogs and Cats
9:00am - 12:00pm: Lab: Participants will have the opportunity to perform a variety of mandibulectomy and maxillectomy procedures including:
A bilateral rostral mandibulecomy, a mandibular rim excision, a unilateral rostral maxillectomy, a total mandibulectomy and/or caudal maxillectomy
1:00pm -2:00pm: Lecture: Management of Maxillofacial Soft Tissue Neoplasms and Injuries in Dog and Cats
2:00pm - 5:00pm: Lab: Participants will have the opportunity to perform a variety of maxillofacial surgical procedures including:
Tongue amputations for lingual tumors, repair of lip avulsions, repair of palatal defects, perform axial pattern pedicle flaps for closure of traumatic or surgical soft tissue defects involving the dermis

16 - APPROVED HOURS IN ADVANCED COURSES IN OMF DISORDERS OR SURGERY FOR ADVC OMFS FELLOW CANDIDATES
